2016 Engineering Banquet Registration

 The Expo is preceded on Friday, February 26th by the Maine Engineers Week Banquet at the Wells Conference Center at the University of Maine in Orono at 6:45 PM (social beginning at 5:30 PM).

The Speaker for the 2016 E-Week Banquet will be Vince Quintana of General Dynamics/Bath Iron Works!

 Vince Quintana is currently the principal human factors test engineer at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works specializing in the human factors evaluation of human-machine and human-computer interfaces and devices. His current projects include evaluating numerous systems and devices on USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) and next generation traffic control systems for the Federal Railway Administration. He is an adjunct professor at Southern Maine Community College where he teaches Marine Design and Naval Architecture. He holds several patents for the development of next generation wearable computer and wireless network systems, using augmented reality applications in adverse environments. Vince has received numerous US Navy and industry awards for his work on creating methods and processes for human factors evaluation processes and training systems development. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a BS in technical education, and is a research associate for the University of Maine Center for Cyber Security.  


His presentation will focus on the use of Human Factors engineering in the development of Human-Machine and Human-Computer interfaces.
